She takes her time to explain symptoms, causes, any side effects from prescribed medication, etc. As busy as she is, she actually listens to her patients and makes you feel comfortable! I saw Dr. Slabas today for the first time. She is fantastic. She spent a significant amount of time explaining my condition, the risks and treatment options. She even drew everything out on paper so I could take it with me to review/remember. I felt very comfortable with her and also with the decision I had to make about treatment. This is my first year seeing doctors in the Texas Health network and I am appreciative of how they handle referrals to specialists. I've had to see a few this year and they've all been top notch.

I LOVE Dr. Slabas! I don't think I would be surviving pregnancy without her! She always answers all my questions in detail and makes me feel okay for asking her crazy stuff! She takes her time with me EVERY TIME! When you ask her something she doesn't have to look on Google to find the answer, she already knows. Dr. Slabas really cares about her patients. She writes detailed notes of your conversation and draws pictures. She listens to what you want in addition to giving her recommendations. I was referred to her and went without looking up reviews. So many women are saddled with gynecologists who won't give options and/or won't listen to their patients. Dr. Slabas is not one of those, plus she is also very knowledgable and empathetic.
